The official visit of the President of the European Council Charles Michel to Kyrgyzstan has concluded. The visit took place in the Kyrgyz Republic from June 2 to June 3 in Cholpon-Ata city of Issyk-Kul region.
As part of his visit, on June 2, Charles Michel participated in the Second Meeting of the heads of Central Asian States and the President of the European Council in Cholpon-Ata city, which was chaired by President Sadyr Zhaparov.
After the Second Meeting a joint press communique was adopted.
On June 3, President Sadyr Zhaparov and EU President Charles Michel held talks in both narrow and expanded formats. They discussed various issues related to strengthening bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on a wide range of global agenda topics, including regional cooperation.
Following the talks, President Sadyr Zhaparov and President of the European Council Charles Michel issued a joint press statement.
Subsequently, a cultural program was organized for Charles Michel representing the ethno-cultural tourism and traditions of nomadic civilization on behalf of President Sadyr Zhaparov.
Concluding his official visit, the President of the European Council Charles Michel departed from the country on June 3.
